Around the Horn (7/13)

The Absence:  Sorry for the absence from the blogosphere.  It has been a bit busy, busier then I intended for my summer to be.  For that reason, there will be some changes in my blogging.  It most likely will not be daily and the Baptist Catechism questions will move to Wednesdays instead of Mondays.  This is will better facilitate a few things.

Barna and Ecclesiology:  A few weeks ago, I reviewed Barna’s Revolution.  I may have been harsh on him – some he deserved, some he may have not.  Ed Stetzer has an interesting critique of the book and what it teaches.

Technology:  Like to text message, but don’t like to pay for it?  Use GoText and have it returned to your email address.  I have been playing with it for a bit and really like it.  Especially when you can cut and paste things from a web browser and text it to your phone for mobile use!  Oh yeah….it is free too (except for the cost of any text messaging that may apply).

  • Stetzer has a pretty good critique, especially with his closing remarks with regard to the difference between Barna’s descriptions and prescriptions. However, do you think that Stetzer really got the point of Barna’s descriptions?
