It is a lost art, that is for sure. However, it was not all that long ago when families in Appalachia would gather in the fall for a day of peeling, slicing, and cooking down apples in a big copper kettle to make one of life’s most delightful treats. Homemade Applebutter. Granted, we have come a long way technologically, but that does not negate the beauty in a lost art.

For the last few Octobers, my family has gathered on a Saturday around a fire and over a copper kettle with paddle in hand to labor out our applebutter. I will tell you that is the best that you will ever taste, but then I am slightly biased. Below you will find a video of just a small, tiny part of the process that took place. If you look closely, you will see a Dutch oven near the coals that contains breakfast – but that is another lost and dying art I will talk about another time.

Moving from Google to iCloud?

While I have not played with any of the iCloud features, I will say that it will take some pretty nifty stuff for me to move everything away from google. Things just seem so seamless right now – I am not sure I want to mess with it. If I do, here is a tutorial I found helpful. Maybe you are unlike me and are ready to make the jump. Clemson Moves to 7-0!

Clemson moved to 7-0 yesterday after defeating Maryland at College Park. Down 35-17 at one point, the Tigers climbed back on the road to overcome the 2nd biggest deficit since 1992 at Virginia. Catch the post-game wrap up below.
